Who May Attend Camino Home School Academy?

à Any homeschooled student living within a 30 mile radius may apply to attend CHSA (may require interdistrict transfer)

à Initial Enrollment for the 2009-2010 School Year is limited to a class of 20.

What Curriculum will be used at CHSA?

à Camino School District Adopted Curriculum will be the standard  curriculum.

à Each student and parent will collaborate with their teacher to develop a Personalized Learning Plan, designed especially for the unique learning needs of each student.

à Students will meet with their teacher one hour weekly.

à Student learning based on engaging, thought provoking specialized curriculum.

à Interactive labs and special field trips offer enrichment and socialization opportunities for Academy students.

à Academy students will have the option of adopting alternative curriculum at the discretion of the parent with the approval of teacher.

à Customized remediation will be co-designed by teacher, parent and student to strengthen student achievement.

à Gifted and Talented enrichment opportunities available to qualified Academy Students.

Camino Home School Academy?

à Cutting edge approach to homeschooling as Blended Learning, where students receive the benefits of local enrollment, participation and instruction as well as the opportunity to learn in their own environment.

à Extracurricular participation:  All Academy Students are eligible to participate in Camino sports, clubs, dances, field trips, and activities.

à Personalized instruction by highly qualified, onsite teacher

à Highly supportive administration and teaching staff to assist homeschool families in meeting their academic goals.

à Flexibility to provide customized, student centered instruction.

Enrolling in Camino Home School Academy is simple.  Complete and sign the attached documents and submit to the Camino Union School District office at 3060 Snows Road, Camino, CA  95709.

If you would like to be contacted with additional information about the Camino Home School Academy program, please complete the form below and we will contact you shortly.

Also, since the initial program enrollment is limited to 20 students, if you would like to reserve your place as you complete the paperwork, you may do so by completing the interest survey online.  You will then need to submit the remaining paperwork within the following week to maintain your place.
