The School Site Council annually reviews the school plan by participating in establishing school goals, developing the budget and approving the use of school improvement funds, Title I funds, EIA/LEP funds, and other state and federal categorical funds and serves as the communication link between the school and the community. The SSC makes changes in the school plan to reflect changing needs and priorities.
The School Site Council follows established by-laws outlining its operation and involvement in the school and meets once a month. The School Site Council consists of six elected parent representatives from the community, four elected certificated teachers, one elected classified staff member and the principal. Community members serve two year terms and elections are held each Fall. Staff representatives are chosen at the beginning of the school year. Officers are elected in the fall.
