Americans with Disabilites Act

Notice of Non-Discrimination
All educational programs, activities and employment practices shall be conducted without discrimination based on sex race,, color, religion, national origin, ethnic group, marital or parental status, physical or mental disability or any other unlawful consideration. "Disability" shall be defined in accordance with all applicable state and federal law. The lack of English proficiency shall not be a barrier to equal educational opportunities. Interested persons, including those with impaired vision and hearing, can obtain information about the programs, facilities and activities available to them.

When viewed in their entirety, Camino Union School District provides access to all programs, services and activities for qualified individuals with disabilities. Requests for accommodations, questions, and complaints should be directed to the ADA Coordinator, above.

The Camino Union School District complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Public Law 101-336, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability.

Self Evaluation and Transition Plans
Camino Union School District is in the process of developing an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) self-evaluation and transition plans. Areas to be evaluated include facility accessibility, accommodations for individuals with disabilities and administrative policies and procedures. Individuals who would like to provide input are invited to complete a survey. Surveys are available for organizations that represent individuals with disabilities, parents, students, employees, and other interested individuals who wish to participate in the evaluation.

Your comments and opinions are important to us and will provide valuable information regarding how the Camino Union School District can better accommodate individuals with disabilities. Surveys are available by contacting the ADA Coordinator above. You can also download a PDF or Word copy from the Downloadable Documents section of this website. Please contact the ADA Coordinator if you have questions or comments or would like a survey in an alternate format.
