So, a little about me...I grew up in Elk Grove, CA. I have an Administrative Assistant Associate Degree from LDS Business College. I have lived in Camino with my family for 14 years, and I LOVE living in the mountains. I have 6 kids plus bonus kids at different times that I call my kids and a wonderful husband who supports all I do. I have had 4 kids go through Camino school, and 2 kids are currently attending. I am the Secretary of the PTO and love serving at Camino School and being involved in all the activities. I love reading and books, and every available surface in my home is covered in piles of books. I love volleyball and hiking, and I recently started running. My biggest hope in this position is to bring unity and trust between the school board and the school.
I’ve done a few things in my lifetime. Mechanic, firefighter/EMT, IT professional and Chef. Somehow all these experiences have blended together and allowed me to be prepared for pretty much anything that comes my way. I live in Camino with my wife of 25 years. We have 7 grandchildren, two of whom go to Camino School. We have lived in Camino over 6 years now and would never think of moving away from this amazing community. We love it here. I still work full time, but in my limited spare time I love to play my guitars and spend time with my wife, family and our dogs. I joined the Camino school board to give a fresh perspective to how the board operates and listens to the staff, students and parents. I am dedicated to making a difference.

A native Californian, Deborah, grew up in the Eastern Sierras where she graduated from Lee Vining High School (Class of ’93 with 7 other students). She credits her teachers and small community with her success as a lifelong learner, problem solver and someone with a strong sense of loyalty. Deborah wants to help make that kind of tight-knit teacher/community supported education available to the kids of Camino. And looks forward to collaborating with her fellow board members, administration, teachers, and school staff to create a child-centered approach to our educational and district goals.
Deborah loves living in Camino, the community and the beauty of the Sierras which have been home to her most of her life.
I have deep roots in El Dorado and Sonoma Counties between which I have lived nearly my entire life. My family moved to this county in 1966. I attended Gold Oak from 4th through 8th grades and graduated from Ponderosa High School. My wife and I have lived in Camino for 25 years. Our daughters graduated from Camino School and our granddaughters are currently students there. Amongst my many interests are reading, hiking in the mountains, music and old movies. I have experience working on ranches and in retail. I served as a volunteer fire fighter in Sonoma County before being hired full-time, retiring as a fire captain. Most of my career I served in union leadership and have many years experience striving to improve service, safety and efficiency; usually through interest-based negotiations involving multiple agencies. Empathy, respect, transparency, accountability, working in good faith and community outreach are some of the keys to building great relations and delivering great service. I am committed to help fulfill the mission and vision of CUSD for our students. The District has a unique opportunity to improve internal and external relations. I am honored and excited to serve on the Camino School board.
