The Extended Day Program is held Monday through Friday in Room B from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. For more information on the Extended Day Program, please contact the El Dorado County Office of Education at 622-7130, ext. 298.

Distinguished School

Camino Elementary School is a California Distinguished School.

Camino Elementary School provides a family-centered environment dedicated to academic success for our diverse students. Skilled, credentialed, trained and supported teachers provide a sophisticated standards-based curriculum. A powerful assessment and intervention program supported by modern technology, and linked with a supportive school culture, ensures that no student is left behind. Recently, Camino School was selected as a 2009 National Title I Distinguished School and recognized as a 2010 California Distinguished School.

Emergency Procedure

Should an emergency arise at school, we will use our emergency phone notification system to send out a message to advise you of the situation. As a parent you can ensure that fire fighters, law enforcement and school officials are able to handle an emergency. Please do not rush to the school to pick up your child. Emergency plans are in place to reunite students with their parents as quickly as possible.

Drug Free School Zone

Camino Union School District is a drug free school zone. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are prohibited!

Head Start State Preschool
